Laura Max McDonald. Actress. Comedian.

After graduating with Honors from Colgate University in majors that have nothing to do with performing, Laura moved back to New York City to pursue her childhood dream of acting. DREAMS! In her four years in NYC, she starred in numerous independent films, one off-Broadway play, and many comedy projects.

In New York, she studied and performed improv & musical improv at the People’s Improv Theater, and she worked often with the sketch comedy YouTube channels BarelyPolitical and the Key of Awesome. Through these sketch channels she has become well-known around the world for her spot-on impressions of actress Kristen Stewart and has been featured on the Huffington Post, NY Daily News, Entertainment Weekly, Tosh.0, and Perez Hilton. She has also been in print ads for MetroMint Water & Toys R Us; commercials for Cablevision, XOWi,and MixSee; and has guest starred on the Bio Channel’s Celebrity Ghost Stories and Discovery Channel’s Scorned: Crimes of Passion. She also played Mindy opposite Alec Baldwin, Nina Arianda, and Ryan Lochte on 30 Rock.

In June 2014, Laura finished the two-year Meisner Conservatory at the William Esper Studio in New York City where she studied under William Esper, Nancy Mayans, Deb Jackel, Ted Morin, David Kaplan, and Bill Bowers. Upon completion she promptly relocated to Los Angeles to see what all the buzz was about kale smoothies. 

Laura arrived in LA in 2014 and has since co-written/directed/starred in/produced/edited/everything-ed a short film called A Breakup with her writing partner Beth Coyle. She has also starred in multiple sketches, short films, and produced two woman-on-the-street videos for the dating website Plenty of Fish. She has also completed the core improv program at the Upright Citizen's Brigade (UCB), is currently in on-going classes at Lesly Kahn & Co., and is currently taking Advanced improv at The Groundlings, and Advanced Improv & Musical Improv at UCB LA!

Commercials! Laura is the face of the Match.com ads, HopSkipDrive, Walgreens print ads, and Sally Hansen's new Mani Match app. She recently finished commercial class at the famous Killian's Workshop. See the commercial tab for more.
